About Our Church
Aydın Kurtuluş Church History
Aydın Kurtuluş Church began about 15 years ago when foreign missionaries came to Aydın with a desire to see the Gospel planted in this city. The first gatherings were held in a small shop, and for many years the church continued with brothers and sisters who came and went. From the very beginning, the dream was clear: to see a church deeply rooted in Aydın.
Three years ago, when Mehmet and Berivan moved to Aydın, God strengthened this vision by providing local leadership. With their pastoral care, the church has grown to around 50 members—people who are sharing the Gospel, shining the light of Christ in their own city, and carrying a vision to plant churches in the surrounding regions.
We are a church that seeks to train disciples, send workers, and live holy lives as we await the return of Christ. Just as in Acts 1:8, our heart is to be witnesses—first in Aydın, then in the surrounding cities, and finally to the nations.
Mehmet
and Berivan
We, Mehmet and Berivan, were both engineers. But we laid down our professional careers to follow Jesus Christ and dedicate our lives to serving Him. God gave us a heart to serve the people of Turkey, and we carry this calling with joy and faith.
Our deepest desire is to raise up disciples—equipping the next generation to serve Christ with their whole lives. We also lead evangelism teams across the ancient region of Asia Minor, the very land mentioned in the Bible, where more than 11 million people live today. In these cities, we proclaim the Gospel and sow the seeds of new churches, trusting that God will bring a great harvest.
Why We
Need a Building
We believe that the church building we are working toward is not simply concrete and walls—it is a headquarters for God’s mission and a home for His people. Right now, almost all of our tithes and donations are consumed by rent, leaving us unable to fully invest in ministry. With our own building, everything changes.
This building will be:
A Base of Discipleship
A place to train students, raise up leaders, and prepare workers for the harvest.
A Home for Generations
where children, youth, and families can gather, worship, and grow together in Christ.

•A Launching Point for Evangelism
a secure hub from which teams can be sent to the surrounding 11 million people in the biblical land of Asia Minor.
A Place of Hospitality
providing housing for teachers we invite, accommodation for evangelism teams, and a safe refuge for believers who are cast out of their homes for their faith.
A Beacon of Hope
a visible testimony in Aydın that Christ’s church is alive and growing.
Instead of paying rent, the faithful giving of our members will directly fuel ministry, outreach, and the planting of new churches. This building will be a permanent foundation for revival in Aydın and beyond.
