Why We Need a Building
The Journey of God’s Provision
As Aydın KurtuluÅŸ Church, our desire is to wisely steward the resources we have and use them for God’s work in Turkey. But the reality is that with our limited means, trying to reach people, pay rent, organize evangelistic events, camps, and prepare lessons often pushed us to the breaking point. There were times when even paying the monthly rent felt like a miracle. The faithful tithes of our members often could not even cover half of it.
In the midst of this pressure—while facing sudden and unfair rent increases from the landlord—the Lord placed an idea in our hearts: a permanent building. Our leaders prayed for months, then shared this vision with the church. The congregation embraced it in faith, putting their hearts on the line. For six months we prayed. Then one day, a church we had never met came to visit us. God moved in their hearts, and they purchased an unused property for us. It was nothing less than the provision of God.
From that moment on, we kept walking by faith. When our church bank account had only a few coins, we stepped out in trust and placed two offering baskets before the congregation: one for regular needs, and one for the building project. In the middle of inflation, poverty, and financial hardship, our brothers and sisters became even more generous. Because in faith we know: “In all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” (Romans 8:28)
Our desire is this: not to remain a community always dependent on outside help, but to become a church rooted and sustained by the faithful tithes of its members. Not struggling endlessly to pay rent, but investing directly into evangelism, discipleship, camps, and ministry.
For us, this building is far more than four walls:
• A headquarters where disciples are raised and leaders are equipped.
• A home where children, youth, and families grow in Christ.
• A launching base for evangelism teams to reach surrounding cities and nations.
• A refuge for believers who are cast out of their homes for their faith.
• A beacon of hope in the heart of Aydın, declaring that Christ’s church is alive.
We began in faith, and we continue in faith. Now, we invite you to become part of this story. Every gift you give is a brick of faith laid in these walls. Together, we can build more than a building—we can build a lasting witness for Christ in Turkey.

A Visible Testimony in Aydın: A Permanent Church Building
Being a church in Turkey is not the same as in the West. Here are some realities:
• The Difficulty of House Churches: Many believers face pressure from families and neighbors. When we gather in homes, landlords or building managers often object. Most homeowners refuse to rent their houses if they know it will be used for church gatherings. This makes house churches fragile and short-lived.
• High Rent and Inflation: In recent years, rents in Turkey have skyrocketed. Even in a medium-sized city like Aydın, a small hall or shop can cost far more than a church can afford. With inflation increasing every year, almost all of our tithes and donations go not into ministry, but into the pockets of landlords.
• The Need for Rootedness: For a church to grow strong and healthy, it must have a permanent place. Believers need to feel they belong to a rooted family, not a wandering community. Children need safe classrooms, youth need space to gather, and families need a home base. Without this, the church remains scattered and fragile.
• Transparency and Trust: A permanent building shows the city: “This church is real, it is growing, it is here to stay.” That visible presence builds trust both with locals and with new believers.
We believe that a permanent church building in Aydın is not just about comfort. It is about seeing the Gospel take root in Turkey.
“The LORD your God will bring you into the land He swore to your fathers… with large, flourishing cities you did not build, houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide.” (Deuteronomy 6:10–11)
God has always given His people a place to root themselves. That is our prayer and vision too.
